Science Unit Studies

29 Nov

Hands-on activities are so much fun, and they help kids remember their lessons so much easier. I recently found a great  homeschooling science book by Susan Kilbride, a homeschooling mom with a degree in biology. The book, Science Unit Studies for Homeschoolers and Teachers, is geared for ages 4-13, so if you school multiple ages, this book has you covered. Susan is sending a copy of the book for my daughter and I to do a review, so check back to read about our experience. In the mean time, Susan has graciously offered links to two of the experiment lessons in her book so everyone can try them out. These are PDF downloads.

Atoms & Molecules for ages 8-13

Plants for ages 4-7

Here is Susan’s website.  The website opens best in Internet Explorer and Firefox.

You can also view her book on Amazon.
